These do not fall in the enduring category and are definitely a trend. The loafers that look like your dad's old fashioned "pantoffels' have taken an edgy turn. We are talking studs and spikes, not just a hint of this, but in your face fierce. This edgy way of self expression comes in designer as well as high street versions. Punk comes to mind when I see these loafers and they are certainly not lacking in attitude!
I guess this classic punk element now has a new stage to dance on.
